The Hartford Independent Chamber Orchestra (HICO) will present an open rehearsal/lecture-demonstration about their concert series of all-contemporary works.

They will discuss their collaborative projects with area composers, including Eastern professors Anthony Cornicello and Jeff Calissi. The entire ensemble (15+ musicians) will be on hand to present excerpts from new works by Cornicello and Calissi, as well as demonstrate the extended instrumental techniques employed in many contemporary works.
