The thread company built a giant complex of factories, company owned housing, a company store and library. The complex which operated from 1854 to 1985 produced 40,000 products and employed 3500 workers at its peak. To join in an outdoor walking tour of the property meet at 5 p.m. at the Windham Textile & History Museum. Fee.
