Robert Klee, commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, will provide a historic overview of environmental protection in Connecticut — from the initiation of the state park system 100 years ago to the establishment of environmental regulations in the 1970s, to the recent incorporation of energy initiatives into the agency’s mission. Commissioner Klee will address the broad range of environmental careers and the importance of preparing students to become tomorrow’s environmental leaders.
