Join us for Journey House Rocks! featuring Music by the 3rd Degree, an acoustic group with two acoustic guitars, a harmonica, an accordion, and 3-part vocal harmonies playing 60's and 70's folk, pop, and rock as well as rock/country from the 70's. All proceeds from this event go to support the girls living at Natchaug's Journey House, Connecticut’s only secure residential psychiatric treatment program for parole-status adolescent girls. Through the Journey House program, girls attend school, engage in therapy, and learn how to live healthy, independent lives. The Journey House program strives to create the kind of culture and atmosphere in which a girl can gain the social, emotional and intellectual skills she needs to restore any relationship that may have been impacted by a conflict or misunderstanding. Journey House provides opportunities for each adolescent to explore the various parts of “self”- emotional, physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual- in developing new interests and new experiences that can lead to a healthier and more productive life. 6:30pm Doors Open/7:00pm Concert.
