Cupid Made Me Do It


The Cupid Made Me Do It is a 2 mile road race to be held in downtown Willimantic on Saturday, February 10th, 2018. This urban scramble will be held as a part of the Romantic Willimantic Chocolate Festival and will benefit the Windham Area Interfaith Ministry.



Valentine’s Day fancy dress is appreciated and applauded. The first 100 registered runners receive a free T-shirt!


Registration starts at 8:30 AM at the First Baptist Church, 667 Main Street and the race goes off at 10:00.  


This race could be called the “Four Bridge Challenge.” The course goes down Riverfront Drive behind Main Street before crossing the old stone bridge on Bridge Street. From there, runners will head down Pleasant Street to the historic footbridge, crossing to Main Street and then onto the renown Frog Bridge, again heading down Pleasant Street and then across the footbridge a second time and on to the finish.


Race entry is $25.00 February 9th.  


There are three ways to enter:

  1. Online registration: Register online

  1. Paper registration: Download and mail in the Cupid Made Me Do It application with a check.

  2. Day of race registration: From 8:30 AM at the First Baptist Church, 667 Main St


The Windham Area Interfaith Ministry (WAIM) started in 1984 distributing clothes from a church basement. Today, WAIM is a coalition of 40 churches serving over 8,000 people annually in 12 area towns with clothing, furniture, appliances and emergency financial assistance.
